The Naya Raipur Development Authority (NRDA) is taking up a Toy Train project at Central Park in Sector 24 of the new capital, officials stated.
A part of (30 per cent) of the Sector 24 spread over an area of 948 hectares is devoted to provision of a host of recreational facilities.
A Right of Way (RoW) of about 3 metres width would be developed along the periphery of the Park for laying of tracks for the proposed Toy Train. The total length of the RoW would be 2,774 metres. The Park would also comprise a Tunnel for the Toy Train.
The proposed Toy Train is expected to capture huge footfalls as it will complement with other world class facilities to be provided at the Park, officials stated.
The various world class recreational and general public facilities in the Public Experience Zone in Central Park of Naya Raipur is proposed to be powered by a set of Wind Power equipments in the State’s rapidly evolving high-tech administrative capital.
A total of six wind power equipment would generate 30 KW of power, officials stated. The Central Park would also comprise an irrigation system for watering the sprawling lawn area of the park.
The play area in the Central Park for children would have 45 equipment including kiddies, swing, slides, see-saw, scrambler, fitness, thriller, multi activity play system, merry-go-round and rubber mat play zone.
The Central Park is in the heart of Naya Raipur spread over 70 acres of land. The North and South Central Park makes it the biggest proposed park in Chhattisgarh.The Parking Area would have the capacity to accommodate 90 buses, 112 cars and 85 two wheelers.
The NRDA has also proposed to develop a world-class Club House on Sector 24 in Chhattisgarh’s new hi-tech capital in a sprawling area of 9.42 acres.
The Club House would be developed under the Public Private Partnership (PPP) model.
The facility would comprise sports zone, lounges, restaurant, bar, cafe, TV room, Card room.The Club House complex would also comprise auditoriums, amphithreatres, meeting rooms and conference facilities.
The Club House has a built up area of 11,441 square metres.The Chief Minister recently instructed officials to meet the target of planting 2 to 2.5 crore saplings in all the villages and cities of the State including Naya Raipur, on July 31.
It is noteworthy that July 31 is the day when great litterateur Munshi Premchand was born.Singh said that the maximum number of school, college students and public representatives should be invited to take part in the plantation programme to be organized on July 31.
He instructed the officials to invite people from all sections of the society, senior citizens and also social service organizations in order to ensure success of these plantation drives.
Singh said that many important species of trees are found in Chhattisgarh, which have high significance in manufacturing of medicines, food products and other goods. But these species are going extinct of late.
Hence, he suggested that tissue culture technique should be adopted for preservation of these endangered species like Char-chiraunji, bamboo etc.
Singh expressed dissatisfaction over slow progress of work in Tissue culture labs operated by Forest Department, and instructed them to expedite the lab work.
He said that the work of operating these Tissue culture labs, located in Raipur, Jagdalpur and Bilaspur, should be outsourced as per the requirement.The Chief Minister instructed the officials concerned to consider possibilities of shifting, instead of cutting old trees for construction of roads.
Singh said that in this modern era, advanced techniques for shifting of trees are available, which are practiced in many countriesHe instructed all the departments to ensure sapling plantation as per department-wise targets allotted.
Singh said that like previous year, maximum number of industries should be associated with this campaign to make it a huge success.
